Location
The EBA 2017 Congress will be held in Barcelona Congress Center, Montjuïc fairgrounds, Barcelona, Spain. In a privileged position on the north eastern coast of the Iberian peninsula and the shores of the Mediterranean, Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia. Barcelona has the dynamic and open personality so typical of Mediterranean cities. It is the perfect city to relax in, stroll around and enjoy. Wherever you are in Barcelona, there’s always something to see nearby around the neighbourhood or district: jewels of home-grown Catalan architecture, modernism, and contemporary architecture, markets that are a treat for the senses, treasures of the ancient Roman and medieval city, parks where you can unwind …
The venue is very well located, right in the city centre and only 20 minutes away from the airport. There are two metro lines right in front of the entrance, and the Barcelona main train station is just 800 m far away.
It was built in 1929 to house the International Exhibition. It currently combines tradition with an infrastructure that can be adapted to all types of events. It is situated in a privileged setting, inside Montjuïc park, which includes green zones, Olympic facilities and cultural buildings, such as the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC).
